Shota didn't have the best relationship with his parents. And by that he means they didn't have one at all.
If he had to choose one way to describe it, he'd say their family dynamic was like an unspoken contract between business partners. They lived their separate lives and only contacted each other when it came to technical matters. It was simple, it was logical, and he was fine with it. And when he moved out at 18 with nothing but three words as a final goodbye, he was still fine with it.
It's only after thirteen years had passed, when his parents show up at UA's gates claiming to have no motives other than finally getting to know their only child, does he realize he was not, in fact, fine with it.

Trust for Izuku Aizawa was a fickle thing, he'd constantly be forced to switch between trusting someone with his whole heart to hating them with every fiber of his being. Such was the story of his father, his teachers, his classmates, his old friends, hell even his own mother (though he never did or ever could hate her). The only person he trusted was his sister and it stayed that way for a long, long time. It stayed that way until he was adopted by Shouta Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada, he gained a new brother and sister both of whom he loved dearly. He finally felt able to trust the people around him and it was a breath of fresh air for not only him but his sister as well. There were bumps in the road but his new family stayed together. My Hero University (Shota Aizawa)
(This story takes place at the end of My Hero Academia but before the Epilogue Arc/ time skip.) Shota Aizawa (aka Eraser Head) was already struggling to come to terms with the decline of his quirk, Erasure, but his student Aoyama's decision to leave UA and his foster child Eri's return to her grandfather have thrust him into severe depression. The fact it was the anniversary of a certain tragedy was the icing on the cake. At his best friend Hizashi Yamada (aka Present Mic)'s insistence, Aizawa and Yamada slowly recount and remember the fateful events leading up to their heart-wrenching loss in Aizawa's college days at Watashi No Hiro Daigaku. Warning: Major spoilers for My Hero Academia and probably Vigilantes. Possible spoilers for Team Up Missions and School Briefs (still writing so idk). "I know ok?!" - Izuku screams, he never screams. Shōto flinches and fights the instinct to cover his ears as he stays put with his back against the bedroom door. Fuyumi frowns with the headphones in her hands, ready to place them over his ears, but for once Shōto wants to know. "He's not special! He's just-" - the sentence stops, Inko warns him to stop as it often happens and somehow Shōto wishes Izuku wouldn't stop. He needs to hear it, he needs someone to say that word. "I'm your son, you birthed me, and still I'm never a priority..." - Izuku says and his voice breaks. It's quieter this time. Shōto opens the door and takes a tentative step outside, not really knowing why: maybe to confront Inko, or maybe to comfort Izuku. The entrance door slams and he's faced with only Inko. She looks at him with so much guilt she might as well just have killed a man. "I'm sorry..." - she says and Shōto doesn't understand what she's actually sorry about. ~ To sum it up: Tōya decided to run away from his abusive household with his sibling. Endeavour face a trial for child abuse that lead to his immediate hero career decline and incarceration. While Tōya manages to run away with Natsuo, Fuyumi and Shōto end up in a foster home. When a threat is discovered on the Kingdoms border, Kings Yamada and Aizawa decide it is safer for their son to leave the castle and find refuge elsewhere. He is sent on a trip to the safe house, accompanied by the kingdoms most promising young warrior, Bakugo Katsuki - a fiery teenager around the princes age but Hitoshi acts upon other plans. With the King of a neighbouring country wishing the young prince Hitoshi to marry his daughter, Shinsos heart becomes torn between his country and the blossoming affection for his protector. ~ OR ~ "Don't fall in love with this one!" Aka: Bakugo is a warrior talking to royalty. He's been told his whole life to respect the royals and they will take you places. Therefore, he often tries to conceal his usual personality - he's still the same character underneath. ~~~~ I'm going to be honest from the start: I don't think this is going to be my best story. Of course nothing ever just gose according to plan for the main character, so of course both he's soulmates try to be friends with him, Katsuki trying to rebuild there relationship while Kaminari just feels the need to be around the other two. But when the villains attack, her classmates become worried - In this AU they have markings of were their soulmate will touch them, during an important moment. for example if its to grab their hand after making a promise, then there will be a hand print on their palm. However, the mark is black, and you only get your mark when you turn 14. When the moment happens, the mark begins to glow and from then on is their hair color. However the soulmate thing won't pop up in the story for a while because people tend to ignore it. It is a thing you only talk about with people close to you.
