Aliens have been here before... one was left behind. Eighteen-year- old Zoe must find him and she doesn't have much time. Along with the alien, a beacon was left on Earth which when activated, opens a portal through which the aliens will return. The extraterrestrials visit Earth to usurp Qi, Earth's vital energy. If the extraterrestrials go too long without Qi, people on the alien planet will die. However, when Qi is extracted from Earth, the weak and elderly of Earth will die. The beacon can only be activated by the alien who was left here and only when the planets are in a particular alignment. The next time is only two months away during the Autumnal Equinox. When Zoe discovers who the alien is, it's a complete game changer because the alien is closer to her than she ever could have imagined. The story takes place in a small town surrounded by forest near the Oregon-California border. Of course it does, after all, the highest concentration of Qi is found in forests where ancient redwoods grow. You might be wondering, what is Qi? In Japan it is called "ki," and in India, "prana"." Trust is a word that can easily be broken through breath, but survival is a word that can only be broken by death. Nikolas Clover's goal was to keep his family safe as they joined the Advors, a group of humans against the Resinix alien race. However escaping from the Proditors, a group of humans who standby the Resinix, would be anything but easy. They lived in a small town in Colombia called Salento located North just off the edge of the Amazon Rainforest. The Advors remained hidden under the tall rainforest trees while the Resinix and Proditors ruled the rest of the Earth with an iron fist. The Clovers lived in hiding as they waited for their moment to leave the Proditor infested town. However, suspicion would soon arise. Escaping would feel like hell, but the thought of surviving would feel inconceivable. ~I've dedicated a song from YouTube that fits well with each chapter to enhance the reader experience if you choose to play it! I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people.
