The year is 1972 in small town Louisiana. It's a perfect summer day, nothing out of the ordinary. But that all changes when Winona Wetherby, a shy oddball, finds a body floating face down in the bayou. News like this spreads like wildfire in a town where gossiping is second nature.

With many fingers pointed, and Winona without a voice to defend herself, the whole town seems to be on edge. After all, there was still a killer on the loose. Things don't get much better when Winona suddenly becomes number one on the police's list of suspects.

Thrust into unfamiliar and frightening new way of life, Winona sets out to find the real killer, and prove her innocence once and for all.

It was only a matter of time before someone else became the next victim. And it wasn't going to be her.
