Elizabeth is forced by the epidemic to revisit her childhood home in the Blue Bell Valley, a place on the cusp of dream and reality where she can find out more about the Irish folklore of little people dwelling in the woods.
Whether these stories are true or not, Elizabeth will have to deal with them, undertaking a journey that will take her in the realm of dreams and roses, dominated by a wicked fairy Queen and a bunch of rebellious spirits of the storm, led by the prideful fairy Tuvia.
Souls fallen into sin, neither good enough to be rescued nor wicked enough to be condemned., Elizabeth will unveil the gentle, tragic and ambiguous nature of her little pals, taking part to their battle against the Queen.
Every night, a different spirit will come to Elizabeth's chamber and visit her. There, she will discover fresh tales, forgotten memories of her past, a new kind of love and all sorts of things that will eventually lead her to self-awareness and maturity.
