Many said that her best friend's reputation preceded her. Many said that she would one day suffer the same fate that he did if she kept up her antics. Her best friend and parents were gone, and nobody would tell her the truth of what happened to them. But when Isabelle "Izzy" Cross finally learns the truth about the place she has called "home" her whole life, it will change her life forever.

                                                                                          ----------

Some mild violence // Disturbing situations

This fan-fiction is based on the lore of "Trench" by Twenty One Pilots and associated content from the cryptic website, Dmaorg.

Dedication: To Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun of twenty one pilots. Thank you for creating music that has become my safety net and inspiring me to be creative once again. Also, to my fellow Banditos: the entire Skeleton Clique and its many talented artists within it. You inspire me every day - please don't ever stop creating.

This story is was continued with inspiration by D.S. Solana, who wrote another Trench fan-fiction called "A Lifeless Light" which helped awaken a spark of creativity within me that laid dormant for so long. Thank you and I hope to read more of your work within the boys' world again soon.

This is a story written as if Jenna and Tyler wrote it. As if it was true events that accured in their lives. Disclaimer: it mentions self harm, and sexual harassment. If you're triggered by either of those I suggest you don't read. However, I will be putting warnings at the beginning of each chapter to maybe save you from having any potential problems with the book. Preview from the prologue: "I've written this story down to maybe help wrap my head around the questions I've been asking myself for years now: Why do some people have good lives, and others don't? Why are some people happy without effort while others are struggling to keep the smile on their face? Why do people do wrong even though they know it's wrong? Why don't they try to be good? Why do people keep making the same mistakes over and over again? And as I tried to figure out answers to these questions, I began writing my life story for you. Not every single event of my life, just the important events that changed my life. This story starts when I was sixteen. However, most of this story will take place in my seventeenth year on this earth- that's when I met Tyler. I can truly say that I've answered the questions now. However, I won't be telling you the answer until the end. I don't want to throw my opinion out there without giving you my reasoning behind my theory." • • This book, once finished, will consist 43 chapters! • • If you would like to check out my other books, Completed books: We'll Pee When We Get To Europe (• Twenty One Pilots Short Story •) Tyler Joseph Imagines • Ongoing books: Tyler Joseph - Short Stories Alive | ør | Asleep: We're Human Book Two • • #6 on #jishwa!

Tyler and I have grown up in DEMA, talking through the wired fence for years, sneaking visits with eachother to talk about books, and share music that we have discovered. Now, after many months of plotting, we've finally attempted our escape. Both of us thought that once we were out of DEMA, we would be out of it for good, but little did know that along the way, we would uncover many hidden secrets about the origins of DEMA, as well as its citizens. We also didn't realize how many others had been wanting to escape as well, which caused them to work together to form a group of rebel escapees, the Banditos.
