After their parents' death, 17-year-old Selina "Lee" Watson moved to the UK while their brother was swept away by his dad and their sister stayed somewhere in UK as well.

And then Lee starts having problems. It begins with living with Philza Fucking Minecraft and doesn't look like it'll end. At least she gets an actual father figure here. And hey, if she starts to adore a certain group of friends, then that's her business.

Anyway, this is platonic! It's just about learning to adjust to cultural differences and experiencing complete and utter adoration for your friends and family. Also, Lee is genderfluid, so the pronouns change at least semi-regularly.

Lastly, there are curse words in here, including but not limited to fuck, shit, dammit, jesus christ and a lot of  variations of that. I know someone who curses like that so yeah, it felt natural for Lee.

Wilbur is a young, trans masc teen. He is out to his parents, and they fully support him. They've bought him binders, let him cut his hair, and gotten him other things to help him transition. The town they live in though? Not very supportive. When they first noticed Wilbur out in public with his parents, people thought they had adopted, only to find out that he was indeed the young "girl" that happily ran around the small town with the other kids. They weren't too happy. The whole town, although small, is very homophobic and transphobic. Wilbur and his parents are the only people that are part of/support the LGBTQ+ community. On September 14, 2009, on Wilbur's thirteenth birthday, he and his parents happily spend the day together in their small home. However that happy day turned into a not-so-happy night. Two unidentifiable people break into their home, kill Wilbur's parents, and abduct him. All because he's trans.
