A young woman, Marinette, find a unusual box of earrings in her purse on the way back from the first day of school. When she gets home, she tries them on, and out of nowhere, a creature called a Kwami appears. This creature helps her gain superpowers. 

Alongside is her partner, Cat Noir, and they work together to save Paris from an evil Villian, Hawk Moth. All Hawk Moth wants is both their Miraculous so he can gain ultimate power. 

Saving Paris, making good impressions on her crush, school, friendship, will she be able to deal with it all?

Their archenemy is Hawk Moth, later revealed to be Adrien's father Gabriel Agreste, who uses his own Miraculous, the Locket Brooch of the Butterfly, to turn people into supervillains when they feel negative emotion using small butterflies called akumas.
