This is based on the maze runner series. I read it a while ago and was influenced to write my own version. I hope you like it. 

Jason and 99 other teens have been put in a maze to be watched and tested by the government.  The president needs teens to help improve the population and make sure the human race won't become extinct seeing as countries now refuse to have any more people be born unless someone else dies. Follow them on their journey as they try to survive and escape the maze while experiencing anger, sadness, love and misfortune.

A poet, I know, not that big, but she's known for her wit. Her first name is Dorothy, last name is the main characters name. So if you are a little squeamish I don't recommend reading this. Sorry it took so long to post I wrote this a long time ago back in high school and I wrote this as a script not a book. It took me a while to edit and rewrite and reword it. Please no mean comments, if you don't like it then don't read it, and I know there is a lot of mistakes, I am not the best writer.

Thomas' new life began in a metal box lurching through an elevator shaft. Confused, scared and filled with curiosity, he thinks the boys laughing maliciously at him are going to roast him over an open fire and eat him. When that doesn't happen, he's left with too many questions about who he is and where he came from. In his heart, though, he knows that he must become a Runner. A boy who is chosen to run through their prison, a Maze, and find an escape. This is a rewrite of the Maze Runner movies. I don't really know if rewrite is the right word, but I'm using this as an opportunity to practice my writing. It'll follow the structure of the movies with minor adjustments, especially just now in the first one. Later on more adjustments will happen, I think. I also want to include Newt/Thomas in this rewrite as I find the ship cute. My writing is a bit clunky and all-over-the-place but I hope you enjoy :) Please feel free to offer constructive criticism. It will always be welcome. Also, feel free to point out any mistakes or things that don't make sense? I've also posted this on AO3 under the same name :)
