"I never wanted you to get like this" I could physically feel the impulsive pit of betrayal hammer it's way through me heart. 

"Like w-what?" I felt his presence urging forward, as I slowly sunk my aching eyes up in his direction searching for that fulfilment of contentment I was no longer fortunate to see. 

He stared me down with those same green eyes that once told me I meant something to him, meant something more.
