Ceredicia is known as the kingdom of thorns and rightfully so, it stands tall through decades of conspiracies and uprisings against it. But this tie devious plots are being formed within the walls of the very heart of the kingdom and enemies are aligning together for the downfall of the glorious kingdom. But will an unlikely band of saviours succeed in defending it or all that would be left in the end will be blood and ashes?

Aurelia has always lived her life labelled as the blood traitor after her father's treachery against the kingdom almost 17 years ago. No matter what she does, what special skill she achieves, no one perceives her as anything but her father's daughter. So when a chance of redemption and to rise above the labels arises, she grabs it with both hands. But the past doesn't seem to be left behind easily. With a time when everyone in the palace is perceived as a possible enemy, Aurelia seems to be the target in almost everyone's eyes. But she is not one to back down easily. An unlikely bond of friendship is born, giving rise to foreign feelings and stronger emotions.
