Love is Strange : An L X OC Story

This is a story that is loosely based off of the anime Death Note and a story about a girl named Sevenna "Henna" Yamada who eventually falls in love with the most intelligent yet aloof and mysterious, sot after detectives in all of Japan/in the world. He was known as L Lawliet or simply as L or he was known by his alias names; Ryuga, Ryuzaki, Lind L. Taylor, Eraldo Coil, Deneuve and many others. How did a 22 year old who looks like a high school student meet such a reclusive and highly respected detective in all of Japan? How did she get involved in the NPA, you may ask?

Well you see, Henna did not have an easy childhood. Her mother was a drug addict (mostly addicted to pharmaceuticals) and her father mentally, physically and even sexually abused her and her mother as a child and had to go to a child psychiatrist due to the trauma she endured. We later discover that the kindly psychiatrist (his name is Dr. Brandon Cullen), adopted Henna and took her in as his own child. A few years pass and nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary until Cullen hears something suspicious on the news. Strange deaths of inmates and criminals were occurring...including the death of Henna's biological father. That is when Cullen reveals that he has been secretly working on a case called "The Kira Case". It just so happened that Henna knows about Kira and his reputation of killing criminals. But what she does not know that her new friend Light Yagami was the same madman who's been committing all these crimes.

Henna only gets introduced to the NPD members when she revealed a useful skill. With a lot of persuasion, L and Henna meet face to face. Once L realizes that Henna is more than just a pretty face, he becomes more...curious about her and wants to find out more about her. There is also something about her that even he cannot fathom. How can a soft spoken yet kind and courageous girl make her way into a brilliant yet socially awkward sleuth's heart?
