I wrote this story for an assignment in my sociology class. This story addresses the sensitive subject of discrimination and prejudice. I apologize in advance if I offend anyone and I do really hope I don't offend anyone with this story. I wrote this story to inspire people to look beyond the color of someone's skin.
This story is about two boys, Miguel and Garrett, who meet in school as young children. As they grow up, their differences get in the way of what could have been a strong and enduring friendship.
