I wrote this story for an assignment in my sociology class. This story addresses the sensitive subject of discrimination and prejudice. I apologize in advance if I offend anyone and I do really hope I don't offend anyone with this story. I wrote this story to inspire people to look beyond the color of someone's skin.
This story is about two boys, Miguel and Garrett, who meet in school as young children. As they grow up, their differences get in the way of what could have been a strong and enduring friendship.

The Stage
This story will be more romantic in nature and focus on a developing relationship between two teenagers. There will eventually be sex but you will have to wait for it. Skin Color Doesn't Matter
*WARNING, NOT EDITED* Ashley was in her Senior year of High school. She is 17. She has had a wonderful high school experience and is ready to finish strong for her last year. What she didn't know was that her friend's boyfriend's friend would become very close to her. She would soon go through some things she had never experienced. She and her bestfriend, Mercedes, have been friends since they were little. She didnt really have any friends because of her skin color. Ashley's mom was African American and her father left when she was little. Her mother found someone who would treat her better. Ashley has 2 little siblings. A little brother and a little sister. She wasn't the richest out there but she was happy with what she had. She had 2 jobs so she could get out of the small town of Roseville. When she meets this guys, she didn't know how hard it was going to be. She didn't know she was going to be judged because of her class. She also didn't know her skin color mattered.Complete
Tarlos: We're A Family, All Four Of Us
TK left NYC with his dad after a nasty but successful custody battle over his three year old. Carlos is adapting to life as a single father after the death of his best friends with his own three year old. They met in a park when their children started playing together. Who'd thought that fate would bring these two together. Interpret my work as you will, constructive criticism is always helpful just please don't be mean about it.

This story is possibly what my life would have been if I was at high school with Dan and Phil and we were all part of the LGBT community. It contains mild language so be warned.
