World of cards pretty much, 4 countries, Spades, Diamonds, Clubs, and Hearts. The only thing keeping them from going to war with each other being the Jokers, 2 are chosen to be given their wings, and to be the final decision makers in The Courts. We have 4 our protagonists: William, a Diamond citizen whose father's wealth is quickly growing him to the status of King; Micheal, a Heart healer who is know for his ability to heal anyone who needs it; Simon, a Spade shopkeeper who is trying to crawl his family out of poverty after his father's passing; and Leda, the current Ace of Clubs, who's clawing for her status through the consistent competition of the scribes, mages and knights of her kingdom. The 4 however, are admitted in the great competition to win a place as a Joker, and a life of power and prosperity.
