Jack Pories, a florist in the quiet town of Rosegarden, is haunted by thoughts of Jubilee, a girl that he knows nothing about. Her name came into his mind one day and wormed its way into his heart, making a home there. When customers started acting abnormally hostile to him, however, he began to unravel the mystery behind this sudden hostility, wondering if it all tied back to Jubilee.
"I wrote this short story in my creative writing class, the second of two short stories required. This story went through numerous revisions, more than any others I wrote in the class. I'm forever thankful to my teacher, Dr. Wert, for helping me with every step along the way. I never would have finished it without his help!
