Minnie Balfour: A Legend Lost to History

Roanoke Ridge and its inhabitants reflect the terrain, rough and stubborn. The isolated region lacks law enforcement and empathy, which would probably make the area a whole lot mo e kind. It would make the people more kind, and the trauma of the region that it bestows upon its people would likely Noticing. Notice no one said it would Unfortunatelyneatly the local population reflects it, and they resemble the wild animals, and the perilous mountain range, and they resemble the anger of the region because, well, after all, roanoke is angry, and her people are angry.

Roanoke is isolated; some say it's for good reason; others say it's because God made it that way to keep the heathens away from civilized society. But in he isolation, roanoke harbours dangerous men and women; she grooms them to be perfect monsters. You might know some of her monsters; the murfee brood, a gang of monstrous men that have perfected their skills under the watchful eye of Roanoke.

While I speak heavily of Roanoke, and I don't speak kindly of her, she is not the main character in our story; no, she is simply a player. Our story here follows a young girl, not a woman, but a girl simply named Minnie. she has other names, but indeed just Minnie suits our needs.
