Ethan and Luca were inseparable as children-two boys who spent their summer days building forts, sharing secrets, and dreaming of a future that would never tear them apart. But when Ethan's family suddenly moves to another state, their once unbreakable bond starts to fade. The letters slow, the phone calls dwindle, and soon, childhood promises give way to the inevitable distance that time creates. Years later, fate steps in when they are unexpectedly reunited as roommates during their sophomore year of college. Both have changed-Ethan is now a confident, outgoing athlete, while Luca has grown more reserved, preferring the solitude of his studies. Old memories resurface as they struggle to find common ground in the midst of their new lives. What begins as a tentative reconnection evolves into a friendship neither of them realized they still needed. But as the months go by, unspoken feelings rise to the surface. Ethan can't help but notice how much Luca has changed-and how deeply he's drawn to him in ways he doesn't fully understand. The more time they spend together, the more he questions if his feelings for Luca are more than just nostalgia for the boy he once knew. Meanwhile, Luca is grappling with his own confusion, unsure if what he feels for Ethan is just a longing for the past or the beginning of something more. As their bond strengthens, so does the tension between them, building toward a moment that will change everything. When Ethan finally confesses his feelings, Luca is forced to confront the truth he's been hiding from himself all along. In a story filled with slow-burn romance, emotional growth, and the intricacies of love and friendship. From childhood companions to star-crossed college roommates, Ethan and Luca's journey is a heartwarming and achingly tender exploration of friendship, loss, and the kind of love that spans both time and distance.

BOOK HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED!! Luca and Alberto have been childhood friends since Luca followed Alberto up onto the shore. They've shared memories over the years and when Luca and Guilia were here to finally stay at Portorosso. Of the courses of years where Alberto would write to Luca, he'd also become quite the artist. It was easy to see a mile away that Alberto was naturally gifted, born to be an artist. And when handed such a talent, Alberto took the chance to go to a good boarding school for artists and such. But it came at a cost. Leaving Luca and everyone he loved behind. Luca was a different story. He'd joined his school choir the first year he went to school with Guilia. His voice was like angels and he was able to get his name out there. He took himself more seriously and decided while Alberto was away he'd take the opportunity and become a singer. A few years pass and Alberto returns home from his schooling to find Luca is off in the world, singing to hundreds of Theatres, bringing in some of the most famous people to listen to him only. He searches for Luca and they instantly click, only this time, now being older they take action in that feeling they once shared for each other. But of course, there's always someone who has their eye on someone else to ruin someone's career. When both are caught they must decide whether they choose to be together or devote themselves to their passions and never be seen in public together. ''' Why is it matured themed: - Use of alcohol and drugs - Foul Language - Explicit moments - 15+ moments, nothing a person under 15 should be reading but that's up to you - Mental Illness (Sometimes heavy and sometimes lightly applied) - Death
