"What do you want then, Emiliano?" I used his first name this time and I swear I saw the fire in his eyes reviving as that smirk only got wider at the sound of it. Taking his hands out of his pockets, he rested them on the edge of the desk leaning closer to me. "What do you want from my empire that would suffice to please you?" I repeated, my voice dripping with hidden threats, warning him not to take it too far as he enjoyed doing.

"You." He replied quickly as if the word was standing all this time on the tip of his tongue. My men heads turned, interpreting the meaning of it as a threat but it was everything but that and I cursed under my breath wishing it wasn't.
