You proved yourself as a beneficial contributor to the ranch, taking care of jobs and tending to the animals and crops. They gave you a good life, a roof over your head, and food in return for your hard work.
When they hired on a new ranch hand after their last one died in a freak accident, you were curious about him. Striker was his name, and you couldn't help but be interested in the rough and tough imp. He was definitely different form there imps, especially his appearance. You both get to know each other as you work together, and a spark begins between the two of you.
