"Friends?" I ask my mother, who is laying in a hospital bed. She smiles brightly towards my small figure "Yeah. Friends are like family, you never betray them. No matter what." She told me, i rise from my seat and head to the window and look out above at the beautiful night sky. Two stars in the sky, one shining brightly and the other barely holding on. "I wonder...what having a friend is like." I whisper to myself as the second star finally fades away, along with my mother who had passed with it like a shooting star. All i hear, is beeping over and over with my mom's eyes shut. "Hey mom? I wanna know more about the world. Like for an example, what is that beeping?" I ask and wait patiently but no response as doctors rush in.
