Destiny is a beautiful word that carries more than a meaning.
Some things are meant to happen while others are 'optional'.
Two entities are the Guards of Xenoblade Chronicles' 2 timeline. They keep everything aligned to the main timeline, so all major key events have the opportunity to unfold and create the story known by many people.
However, one of these entities decided to tamper the main timeline during the development of a big major key event. The consequences are disastrous, the biggest one is leading the world to a New Future with unknown outcomes.

A Destiny 2 fanfiction. Part 2: Fireteam Eclipse. When the Traveler arrived, a spherical deity with paracausal powers known as the Light, humanity prospered and thrived. Their lifespans tripled and they expanded their civilization amongst the stars and to other planets. This was known as the Golden Age until an ancient evil known as the Darkness that hunted the Traveler finally found it in our solar system. The 13 protagonists that saved their world by traveling from their time to the future has now become a part in another dimension. They are all living their normal lives as they was, even before meeting with one another... Like nothing ever happened. As if the attack never existed. Kaiju, like the ones she would see in movies. These monster like creatures that would have an eerie resemblance to the ones the other world has been fighting. Or the ones that keep appearing in dreams. It is currently 2129. Following the story path of Y/n Murasawa and her twin sister, T/n, they are your normal high school girls that live their normal life with a few other friends they made along the way, Iori, Kurabe, Amiguchi, and a few others, to which their story path is also included. Every night along with the three, they are always seeing these weird dreams. Like scary visions of the future, like the two of them and their friends would be there riding giant robots as they fight off a Kaiju attack or when they're all grown up in the future but the dreams would act out as if they were in a movie scene. Were these weird dreams that may have been a real event? Or, this may be their so called memories? Is it really theirs? What will become of Y/n, T/n, and these three other characters along the way? AU of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, where Pyra makes Rex into a Blade Eater, and Nia is the one to revive him. With the power of a continent-shattering Blade, Rex plans to fulfill his dream of reaching Elysuim. Xenoblade Chronicles... god I love this game trilogy(plus 1). The possibility for some filthy casual writer like myself to make AU's out of the incredible and diverse world Xenoblade offers us. Man, I'm already getting excited! Alright. Let's cover a few more things. -Running through the entire games plot will be really tedious. But I love this game and it's plot, so I'll follow through with it. Expect a longer book. -Pyra and Mythra will still exist, but rather then being Rex's Blade, they'll show up in dreams or something, and guide Rex along and teach him how to be a Blade Eater. Basically, thy reside inside the memory of Elysium that Rex has now, and exist inside the Core Crystal. Does that make sense? -Rex x Nia. Since Pyra/Mythra aren't alive in this, that leaves only one. I'm working on my pacing with romance, so I'll try and make it slowly build up to the point, rather then jump right into it. -No changes to the personalities. At least Im not trying to change them. -Vandham. HE LIVES. Or, I wish he did. Unfortunately, his death is just too important to the plot and Rex's character that it feels weird to cut it out. -I want to include Addam in another way. And I have a plan of how to do it, that will also satisfy one of the biggest complaints about the game. -I'd like to try and gradually work Jin over to the other side. I think it could be interesting, but that might change. -I'll try to prevent this from just being a rewrite with no Pyra/Mythra.
