The libretto for a 2-act Broadway-style musical about a revolution that plays out on a fictional Latin American coffee plantation. And Diego, the revolutionary leader, is in love with the Dictator's daughter... Love, politics, violence, and consequences.
Inspired by my time and travels in Nicaragua, in the lingering aftermath of the Sandinista revolution. Unlike some of my other works of theatre, this one was never staged or published - the large cast, ambitious staging, and musical accompaniment all proved beyond my means at the time.

When Latin singer Juan Peláez hires hyperrealism artist Lin Solavida to paint a mural in his home, he doesn't know what he's in for. Its influence to the people also paved its way for it's gorgeous shimmer on its own limelight, intentionally passing it to its new matriarch. Being treated like a celebrity, or being in the spotlight was never new to Janina. Knowing its structure since she was young actually paved the way for her to know what is wrong and what is right. The two get sent to the timeline of Diego's youth, three months after his mysterious disappearance when he was twenty years old. Now, at a much more mature age, but with a still youthful appearance thanks to a genetic anomaly, he is forced to take things up where he left them, with an upcoming wedding to his pregnant fiancée and much unresolved business as the town masked protector. But he has his modern-day wife with him, who has her own connections to this place and time, and things get more complicated by the day. Will he be able to figure out how to get his wife back home? Will their love endure the test of the time travel? Will they manage to navigate the rough waters of their existence in the 19th century? Word Count approx. 86000.
