Girls weren't supposed to ride horses, take care of cattle, or even resemble some form of a cowboy or bandit, but Artemis didn't play by those rules. Growing up she'd been bombarded by religious folk saying she needed to act like a proper lady, the women of the town gossiping about her, and even being insulted in the worst ways possible. She never showed how much it hurt. How the men insisted they could show her what it was like-how it felt-to be a woman. And it isn't until she stumbles upon a wide open farm field with a single woman dressed in trousers, suspenders and all, with sleeves rolled to the elbow working at the dirt that she's seen someone like her. She's vaguely aware of the words coming from her mouth and the slight tip of her hat as she dismounts her horse. All she can think of to say is, "need any help miss?"

A goddess is taken to the underworld as the king's bride; her father knew everything and her mother knew nothing. In this retelling of the Hymn of Demeter, mother and daughter will do whatever it takes to free themselves, no matter the cost. Book I of The Triple Moons' Chronicles * Up in the sky, in a world between myths and lies, lives a daughter caged on an island. She is Persephone. The beautiful Persephone, whom every Olympian god wants to marry-they all want her beauty to conceal their ugliest secrets, but only Hades manages to take her to his realm. He dwells below the earth, across the river Styx, between Tartarus and the Isle of Blest. No mortals can see his forbidden land until they pass away. Forced into marriage by her father Zeus, Persephone would resign from her fate. But when her grieving mother, Demeter, comes close to killing all the mortals, Zeus orders her back to her homeland. Given and returned against her will, Persephone takes charge of her life and eats six pomegranate seeds before leaving. Food from the underworld can't be eaten as it will tie one to the land. As her decision pushes her closer together and apart from her loved ones, Persephone's destiny turns worse. Only she may have the power to change her world for the better. *** CW: While written in a lyrical style, this story is advised for mature audiences only. She couldn't take it anymore how long does she have to be the puppet of the Gods and yet suffer because of them, unfair justice... she hated Gods. All of them, some day she will have her revenge. . . . . "Are you Percilla Rhea Atalanta Jackson?". A tall beautiful woman with flowing midnight blue hair and hair pinned back on the side with a wing shaped hair pin asked. "Depends on who's asking". Percy's eyes narrowed as the intruder gave her a calculative look before giving her a friendly smile which Percy wasn't gonna fall for. She didn't trust this strange woman. "I am Brunhilde, the eldest of the 13 Valkyrie sisters and nee-". "No". Brunhilde's eyes widened in surprise as Percy glares at her with hatred and hostility. "Look here woman. I know what you are and I don't give a flying fuck, I'm not helping or going on another quest just so your lazy devine ass can sit around and do nothing. You divine beings are all the same". Her usual sea green eyes glows, like the sea beautiful yet held deadly intent. Brunhilde shivers, she was playing on thin ice and she knew it. Although she hates to admit it, this girl frightens her... just like 'him'. Unpredictable.

"I tried as hard as I could to understand why you all abandoned me. I could never understand what I did to you. As far as I remember, it was you who betrayed my trust, and given up on loving me. You all have been my last resort in life, but I guess I'm not wanted here either. I wanted to tell all of you how much you've lost, but you have my best wishes. Don't get yourselves killed, Olympus still needs protecting. Goodbye, Camp Half-Blood. I don't know if I'll ever see you again." Yours broken, Percy Jackson A SMALL NOTE: It's been forever since I've read the actual series so characters will be a bit OOC since my memory of the characters are not fresh by a long shot . I apologize in advance if this a dealbreaker for you!!
