Karl hesitantly stepped closer to the portal, which was set to 2014; when Sap was 13. He looked back at Sap, his eyes filled with a piercing "I love you". As if they weren't going to see each other again. Sap held him in his arms, cradling him and swaying him ever-so-slightly.
Sap played with Karl's hair, "You mean the world to me, I don't know how I'll live without you."
Karl gulped, he really didn't want to go through anymore. But alas, it was for his husband. His past husband.
He didn't know what to say, he didn't want to speak or else it would conclude with him in tears.
So, with that, he stepped in. He smiled before he vanished, taking in one last look at his dear lover; the one who swore to love him for the rest of his life. The portal closed as if it were a TV during a power shortage. That left Sap, crying alone without his husband. Just himself and a half empty closet, him and a half empty king sized bed that would never be full again.
He was scared. Scared he wasn't going to see Karl, or even remember him for that sake. Shaking his head as if this were a dream. But he knew it had to be done. This was all he ever wanted. To see the brighter days earlier, something only Karl could help achieve.

'2014' is about Karl Jacobs, Sap's future husband, going back 7 years to fulfill Sap's wishes; to be more outgoing.
However, things take a turn when young Sap refuses to even talk to this stranger named Karl.
This story was inspired by a yuri manga named Strawberry Fields! It's a really good book that makes you feel warm inside, I definitely recommend it.
