Chase- Baseball has always been my life. From the time I could walk I had a ball in my hand. From little league to college ball, getting drafted in the MLB is all I've thought about. That is, until I met Maddy. She throws off my game in the best way and puts me in my place like no girl ever has-and I actually like it. When I'm at my lowest, she's there-pushing me, determined not to let me fail. With college ending soon and the draft coming up, I can't let myself get involved. All I've ever known is baseball, yet it doesn't stop my heart from fighting to share itself with Maddy. Maddy- I had to grow up faster than a kid should have to. But loss will do that to you. It breaks up families. And that's exactly what happened to mine at the age of eight. For more than a decade, I've worked hard and taken care of what's left of my family. I relied on no one but myself. Working long hours and barely scraping by with what sanity I have left. If I can only make it to graduation, I can get my career off the ground and make something of myself. I can't afford any distractions from what truly matters to me, right?
