Romance
Four friends, four versions, but only one truth stands. Carol Black accidentally stumbles upon different angles of a story when she was tasked to write an article on these four successful women for her first breakout feature. Hidden truths and double lives are slowly unfolding as she investigates backstabbing schemes to figure out what really happened. A simple and harmless feature article turned out to be an exposé on a well kept scandal so Carol must be careful of whom to trust to find the real answers. She never thought that finding the true protagonist would be this difficult. ***This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, business, events and incidents are the products of the author's imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.

This is a rewritten version of Golden Boy! It's completely new except for the names of the characters. Everyone has that one thing that they fear the most, that if they ever had to go through it, it would traumatize them. For Elliot, it was having someone break into her house. She's been scared of that ever since watching Michael Myers stalk his niece from outside her window in Halloween, a movie that she shouldn't have watched when she was 8 years old. Elliot faces her worst nightmare when a strange person with unexplainable abilities finds himself in her room, uninvited on Halloween night. She wakes up the next morning with no memory of it. Elliot's senior year was supposed to be above average, in the sense that it would actually be fun compared to the first three years of high school. It was the last year she was going to spend in her hometown Ardsley, New York, before moving across the country to LA for college. She was going to spend it going to parties with her best friend Camilla, eating fro-yo every day, and prepping for prom and graduation. Elliot would never have guessed how a certain Golden Boy would have a hand in ruining her senior year. Now she was stuck uncovering the truth as she's dragged into a whole new world she never asked to be a part of, with a boy she's never asked to become friends with, and possibly gain a new outlook of life that might just keep her in New York for longer than she would have liked.
