Catcher

Harada Aiko loved baseball.

She grew up watching and playing baseball with her older brother, Masatoshi. But loving the sport was not enough, in her last year of elementary school, Aiko developed Bursitis in her right elbow, this was inflammation of fluid sacs in her right elbow joint. This ended Aiko's baseball career as a player before it even started, yes, there were treatments and physical therapy she could go through, but she realized in the world of baseball, a female player could only go so far. So she took a step back and started watching the players, like her brother, with an eagle eye.

Aiko developed a skill for coaching players and helping them to improve their skills. So when she went to her brother's middle school she honed her skills as a team manager. She developed skills in the Japanese baseball world that couldn't be overlooked. It brought many scouts to her door when it came time to look for a high school. It was her dream to become the first Japanese female baseball coach.

Despite her brother being a main catcher and player for Inashiro High School, he never pushed Aiko to join his school. He loved his sister and admired her skill, but he wanted her to pursue her own path. So she did. Aiko was scouted in her third year of middle school by Takashima Rei, a scout from Seidou High School. She was offered the opportunity to study at Seidou with a scholarship and shadow the Head Coach, Kataoka Tesshin. This was Aiko's dream, she had other offers from other schools, but she grew up watching and loving Seidou High's Baseball team.

Never did Aiko imagine accepting an offer from Takashima Rei was going to lead her on such a roller coaster.
