"You'll catch a cold, why didn't you take your jacket?" A voice said. I spun around, and my eyes locked with Marcus's eyes. "Hey," I said, my voice a little trembling from the cold, and I wrapped my arms across my chest, my shoulders stiffening. I had not expected that it would be so cold. My fingers dug into my sleeves, and I shifted my weight from one foot to the other, trying not to shiver too obviously. Marcus didn't answer right away. He just looked at me for a second, then stepped forward. Silently, he slid off his jacket and placed it over my shoulders. It was still warm from his body, heavy and soft, and I wrapped it tighter around me immediately. The inside smelled of him... fresh.

Two lost souls finding peace within each other.

UNDER REVISION Every girl dreams of this day. The day they give their heart away, in hopes that it will be taken and loved in a way that is far more than they could have ever dreamed. Though my day has not yet arrived, it is quickly yet agonizingly slowly approaching. I grow more and more anxious with every passing day. Mother says it isn't good for me to be worried. The only thing that worries me is that when the day arrives, it will arrive...without me...

When they meet under odd circumstances, things fall into place and love happens right when they both need it only for it to end in tragedy and new life. *A/N: this is just a short story that I did for a class in high school. I fixed as many mistakes as I could but if you find any please let me know.*

Perhaps he will never know, but she wishes they could go back to those days, when the future seemed to be bright and there were just the two of them, and their friends, their youth, their promises. She loves him, too. But now, when happiness has faded and their promises have been broken, love seems just pointless. They don't know that love is the only thing that can save them again, as it had done once.

CW: Suicide, abuse, addiction, language, sexual content.
