Gatsby Rewrite

I had an assignment in English to rewrite a scene from The Great Gatsby in another character's point of view, and this is what I came up with.

Edit: This assignment is personally significant to me and that's why I had to share it with my Wattpad family. It was the first short story I've written, and it was the piece that unintentionally made me realize how amazing writing could be. Because of this story, I started writing and found something that would continue to be the greatest thing in my life.

Edit 2: Since this is the first short story I've ever written, there are several mistakes in here (mostly just switching from past to present tense). I don't want to change/edit anything, because I love to read this rewrite and think about how far I have come in the past seven years since I've written this. I just wanted my readers to know that this will contain mistakes, but they are just as special to me as the story itself. However, these mistakes won't show up in any other works of mine.
