Charlotte, a reserved teen, discovers something wrong in her hometown. She is thrown in a battle against time to save her future from being damned into a life of trickery and power hungriness by Mages. *** Charlotte Marley, a teenager whose life is very much led by her controlling mother, discovers a whole new world within the small quaint town she grew up in. Along with some help from Mickey, her hot former friend from her oh so dramatic childhood circle (filled with mysteries of course), she quickly discovers that there is something very wrong in GoldCrest. Some of the residents are Mages. And the most powerful Mages in GoldCrest want something from the teen population of the town. That includes her. She already is out of her depth with her nerve wracking dreams that won't leave her in peace. What more does she need on her plate? Turns out, Char is also a Mage. Once she discovers her own powers, she is then thrown in a race against time to save her future from being damned into a life of trickery and power hungriness. People closest to her seem to be part of the same Mages that she doesn't want to be a part of. Who can be trusted if everyone hides behind a glamour? Everyone, this is Project GoldCrest. And Char is very determined not to let GoldCrest and its stupid Mages mess up her life. *** A little sneak peek: I snickered, trying to suppress my anger and hurt at the words she uttered. "You're very much mistaken, mother. Knowing all I do now, I know that I don't want to be as power hungry as you and those vile mage morons are!" She gave me a sad smile, that quickly turned into a resolved look. My hands trembled as I took in her calm exterior. And I knew the next words she was going to say would make me hopeless. "In this case, Charlotte, you don't really have a choice." *** Fixed updates: on Sundays, every week only 02/07/2022 - highest ranks #16 in yaromance #23 in yafantasy #18 in goddesses

Samuel left the magical world when he was a child, refusing to return to tyrannical Church that leads his fellow harrolds. Naomi has lead the magical world since she was a child, a matriarchal leader for dragons, a race run by family hierarchies. Their paths never should have crossed, and when they do, it's immediately too late. How can a bond be formed when their lives are at odds? - *Samuel Vera* "It's this woman," I said, shocking both Ben and Bale. "She's-" I laughed to myself, relaxing as I spoke about her. "-She's actually always so mad at me, and she's fucking terrifying but she's also so distracting." My tone lowered down to a groan as I finish, "I didn't even have a meeting today, they canceled it, I just couldn't focus grading these multiplication tables." "Has a mere mortal managed to catch the eye of the great and powerful Samuel Vera?" Ben teased, sounding awed and offended, an act as he once more made me regret telling him who I was. Next time, don't tell friends you're a magical being, got it... "Shut up, Ben," Bale said, though he was grinning at the tease nonetheless. "Sam is never going to bring girls over if you're so... 'Funny'." "I beg to differ," Ben said. "My teasing creates an air of informality that comforts many people. You, for example, have always been drawn to my open and honest personality." "Always is a bit of a stretch-" "-And, you know what? She would probably actually punch me," I said. I hadn't stopped talking about Naomi, going through our five minutes of history as Ben and Bale bickered as couples do. "Even if she knew, I don't think she'd care, most women, they're so..." "Non-violent?" Bale said, sounding as if he were worried for my sanity, "Unlikely to attack you?" "Now now Bale," Ben said. "Sam likes a bit of action in his life, he's a wild child." *** Trigger Warnings: N/A- If you find something I have overlooked (which may happen, I've read this book a million times) please let me know and I will update!
