The relationship between Alayah-Yveria and Yveria has always been rocky, but after a series of harsh winters, the North, East, and South have been relying heavily on Alayan-imported materials, forcing them to spend more than they ever had before. Taxes and tensions begin to rise around the Alayan isles. The already impoverished island cities begin to consider rebellion against Yveria in a desperate act to escape as their homelands fall into ruin. Originally undaunted by the prospect of revolution, Yveria begins to grow anxious as cities in the West begin to show their support after facing similar problems.
