Nico di Angelo was lost. 
They had just one the war against Gaea and everyone was helping rebuild the camps.
The seven and a few others had been given immortality that makes them stop ageing at 20 years old. 
Everyone was mourning and celebrating Gaea's death. 
But Nico felt suffocated in camp. Even though there are people there that care about him he is getting sick of everyone hovering over him thinking of him as fragile, weak and as just a kid. 
He decides to leave. To mourn his mother and Bianca since he never got the chance to. To find himself and what he is meant for. 
Of course no one is happy about it and wants him to stay at camp where he is safe. 
So he leaves without telling anyone where he is going. 
That was 10 years ago. Today is the day he returns to camp and his friends are shocked by who he has become. And who he has with him.

Calypso is summoned to Olympus, and is required to work for Hermes for two months as payment for her freedom, though that job comes with constantly being busy, so Leo can help but feel lonely. Even his friends had become too busy, Percy and Annabeth were busy with online school which they have been able to do from camp, Piper and Jason had become too lovey dovey (as Leo said) and Leo just felt like a third wheel. He couldn't iris message Frank to annoy him, since his job as Praetor kept him busy, and he tried to spend whatever free time he had with Hazel. speaking of Hazel, Leo couldn't speak with her either since she was either helping Frank with Praeter stuff, hanging out with Frank or kissing Frank. So with all the feelings of neglect, Leo slips back into his old habits and runs...runs away from everyone.

Nico diAngelo didn't really have a problem with moving, he just continued his life how it was before. Writing, listening to music, sitting in the back of the classroom, making sure not to get too close to anyone, and maybe falling asleep in class. Also spending half of his energy keeping himself from falling apart. That is, until he met Will. Will was like medicine for his heart. When Will held his hand, it felt as if he could relax and let go of his troubles, but when he had to let go, that was something he wasn't ready for, causing to have meltdowns for the first time in a long time. Will had been living a rather boring life in his town, same faces, same friends, he wanted change. When the new boy was in some of his classes at the start of the new school year, Will couldn't help but be curious after seeing the same faces almost all of his life. He was drawn to him in some way he couldn't describe, and couldn't help falling for him as they spent more time together. This book has characters that are created by Rick Riordan, yet there are a few, like Nico's father which is a small character that I created. This book has come from my own imagination, and if it seems that parts of the plot are from another story, that is entirely coincidental.

And once again Will is left at camp for the winter, but this time he has more than just Austin and Kayla who are going to stay with him, he has Nico di Angelo too. But as the seasons change and the leaves turn from green to brown and as the frost seems to cover the world in white, Will remembers what happened years ago. And as he tries to understand, his world is shaken upside down. His world is in pieces, it is shattered because of three words.
