Keeping Secrets

Peyton has always been the girl who flies under the radar-ordinary, average, never one to stand out. But that all changes on her first day of college when she's struck by a football and knocked to the ground in front of the football team, and even worse-her over-the-top, dramatic mother.

The one good thing to come from the humiliating event: she meets Max, the campus' charming and popular football star. Their unlikely friendship pulls her into a world she's never known, giving her all-access to exclusive parties and the popular crowd. But it also sparks jealousy and draws the kind of attention she never asked for.

Things get even more complicated when Peyton falls for Beau, the irresistible guitarist of Trudge Lite, the up-and-coming band everyone's talking about. She knows he's the ultimate heartbreaker and tries to keep things casual. Caught between wanting what she shouldn't, navigating shifting friendships, and keeping secrets that grow heavier by the day, Peyton soon realizes that some lines aren't so easy to draw, let alone keep.

Trying to balance it all, Peyton and Max keep up careful charades, not only from those around them but also from each other. Soon they'll learn that secrets have a way of unraveling, no matter how carefully they're guarded.
