The blood had already leaked down my forehead, but I kept my eyes on Shane and tried to blink quickly to clear my vision. "Hang on, please. Please hang on." He pleaded, holding my body up to a sitting position. I couldn't even remember what had struck me and I was getting nervous by Shane's worried face. "I'm... it hurts." I mumbled. "I'm so sorry." He held me closer. This time tears started to form in his dark green eyes but I could tell Shane didn't want to cry in front of me. My head started to feel more dizzy and I had to give in and close my eyes, much to Shane's dismay and his protests. I probably should've just listened to him from the start when he said don't go outside in this weather, but me being pissy with him and wanting to prove a point- I did and now I'm laying on the wet grass with a gash on my temple and an even bigger one on my leg. "We'll get you to Harvey." Shane said. I could hear his voice break at the end. He picked me up and started walking. "Please wake up." I wanted to so badly but I was exhausted from the hike and spending the night in the cold and shivering for hours. Shane's warm hands under my back and legs already felt way better. "This is all my fault. The one good thing to happen in my life...." Shane let out a sob but never stopped walking. I just wanted to hug him and tell him everything was going to be alright. I could feel the blood still tripping down my leg and face, so I knew I couldn't make false promises but Shane needed me. He needs me. I'm his anchor, I'm the girl he leans on when he's feeling like he's losing. I have to do this. She gazed into her dark brown eyes with lust and pain. A rose as red as her tainted lips she'd put behind her ear, still holding it there, never wanting to let go. She put her forehead against hers as she whispered "You're just like a rose, beautiful but when you come too close you sting, not wanting others to see the pain behind your beauty. But you know what, I'm not scared, I won't give up on you no matter how much you make me bleed." She looked deep in thought, biting her lip and raising one of her eyebrows, and finally, she pressed her tainted lips against hers, letting their lips collide. They knew, that now, they would forever crave each others touch, they were in too deep. They'd fallen too hard. Never did they expect that their story wouldn't end there, and that years later they would be telling this exact story to none other than their own kids. Five men from different parts of the world tried committing suicide at the exact same time after going through certain hardships and ugly circumstances in their various lives. They were fed up with life and felt that there was no point to continue living. So, suicide was their only option to escape reality. As each of them was about to commit their own form of suicide, a mystical being suddenly appeared individually to them. These beings or entities were also five in number, just like the men. The mystical beings, all wearing long hoodie-type cloths that slightly covered their feet and of many different colors matching their skin tones, proposed a solution to each of the men, telling them that there is a way to change their fate for the better. Each of those men was very much terrified when they encountered these mystical beings, which looked like elves in appearance, but they accepted their offer, which they saw as a chance of changing their fate. The mystical beings did not actually tell them the way to change their fate but opened a rainbow multidimensional portal and all said the same thing, which is "FOLLOW ME IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR FATE," with a hand gesture signaling "follow me" towards the man they are individually with. These men did not hesitate but followed them through the portal with the mindset that they didn't have anything to lose by doing so, and they saw it as a chance of gaining salvation. In other words, a chance to be saved from their present predicament or situation and being improved or made new circumstantially.
