I'm staring right at him, right through his mask. And he's staring right back. My fringe and hood are covering my eyes, enough so people can't see them, but so I can see the people around me. Even with my contacts, I'm insecure about my eye colour, as I know no one whose eyes look similar. But as I'm staring at him, I know he sees past that. He can see past the hood and fringe, past my contacts, and past my eyes. It feels like he's staring into my very soul. It's like he can see into my head, but I can't see what's going on inside his.
