Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "Why do bad things happen to good people?" Sometimes things don't come in big bangs and loud bursts. Sometimes things tiptoe by and you don't know they're happening until they've happened. She's started this story a hundred times in a hundred ways--it never seemed right. The truth is this: a woman, a girl, went to sleep and woke up somewhere else. And it broke her. Before, she was eighteen, she would not finish high school, and she had never been in love. After, she would be eighteen and a hundred years older, she still would not finish high school, and she would never not be in love again.

Struggling with undiagnosed mental illnesses can cause havoc in one's life but what happens when that person refuses to seek help; you can't help someone who refuses to help themselves. -Let's get this straight. From a dead end job to a useless crazy ex boyfriend- my happiness is with my best friend yet the fear of our relationship ending completely scares me and id rather fake it and be in fear than find out and never be happy.
