Imagine living in a world where some people are capable of hearing your thoughts, also called "the Noise", appearing like dust or clouds around your head, giving them access to everything you're thinking.
Meanwhile others are able to sense your emotions with every touch or eye contact, making them see different color pigments flicker in your eyes and dance around your silhouette regardless of what you're feeling. They call it "the Sight", but no one has both, you either hear people's noise or you sense their emotions.
And now imagine falling in love with someone who can hear your noise but doesn't seem to feel a single thing.
