The sound of nails scratching the wooden door.

The story of the seventh floor ghost was told to every child in the building by their parent, scaring them away from the haunted apartment with the covered windows.

Seven years old Kitty didn't intend to count his steps, he only did it to make sure he reached his football before the thirtieth step.

He stood still

He can see the football resting by the door at the end of the corridor five steps away from him.

He counted to three before rushing the rest of the way placing both his hands on the ball.

His footsteps still echoing in the silent corridor when

He looked up slowly as the door came ajar finding himself staring at a pair of red pupils.

The story of Kitty and Ace who grew up in the same building but in two different worlds. Each made to believe the other world is dangerous and its inhabitants are to not be trusted.
