In 1899, seventeen year old Philippa Blythe lost her parents and went to the Newsboys Lodging House to seek comfort from her friend, Jack Kelly, who suggests that she becomes a newsie. Jack teaches Philippa how to be a newsie, and she becomes as respected as Jack in a month. Philippa also begins to realize that she has feelings for Jack. Once two new kids become newsies and a strike begins, Jack and Philippa's friendship and Philippa's hope of having a relationship with Jack gets tested when two girls enter the picture. (I'm not the best at descriptions so read on to find out what happens. This story will also be a combination between the 1992 movie and the Broadway musical.)All Rights Reserved

The Newsies go on strike on July 20, 1899 due to Pulitzer raising the price of newspapers. When the Newsies try to stop the wagons, things go sideways. When everything is mostly better, her father's killer comes and tries to get rid of Luna permanently, but her newfound brothers get in the way.
