As I made my way down the large corridor to where the princes, princess, and king most likely resided on their thrones, my heart hammered inside my chest. I knew this day was going to come one way or another seeing how I was a lowly slave from a noble woman.
The royal family were monsters in disguise of human bodies. They were known for the special blood inside of them that granted them to link dragons and become life bonds.
The chains around my wrists jingled as the guards shoved me further to the end of my time. As I entered the room, there sat the 4 princes and princess. It appeared the King was absent today, my lucky day.
My knees slammed painfully down onto the ground as one of the guards behind me had kicked my back. My eyes remained on the ground as a voice pure as thunder spoke up.

"Look me in the eyes wench." He demanded of me, his voice low like a threatening growl.
When I refused to look up at him, his hand roughly gripped my chin and brought my face up to meet his piercing gaze. And what I saw took my breath away if I had much left t to give.
