Rengoku x Reader *HIGHSCHOOL/SHIFTING*

Our lives were very different, to the extent that our realities would never match up. Kyojuro Rengoku, the flame pillar and hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, from the popular anime franchise 'Demon Slayer'. Y/N L/N, 16 year old high school student, in a small town near Tokyo, modern Japan.
Ever since I was young, anime and manga have always served as an escape from reality for me. Anime is filled with characters that endure such heavy plot twists and amazing redemption and heroic arcs, that make me forget about the struggles I undergo on a daily basis.

This story isn't about my pitiful life, and how I instantly fell in love with Rengoku, who then reciprocated my feelings. No, this is the story where sometimes, suffering and pain is needed for a happy ending, and not everything goes as planned.
