Can the word 'familiar' and 'stranger' possibly be linked together?

Deemed as the rain that will bring chaos to a sunny buoyant day and the side character of your favorite tale that you often forget about, Arts and Design Student Candace Imperial known as 'Ace' or 'Candy' depending on whether you met her in the bright days of elementary or the dark ages called junior highschool finally becomes the protagonist of a fast-spreading rumor in Sacred Heart College after the school's golden boy; Lucas Ejercito a STEM student-Candace's former classmate from elementary to junior high school-appears in front of her with a bouquet of flowers and a paper bag filled with chocolates, a pink teddy bear, and a limited edition makeup palette looking so handsome and distressed.

Confused, reluctant, and unsurprisingly appalled, Candace starts questioning why the guy who never once looked her way would unexpectedly make a sudden move like that. She had many presumptions about why he could have possibly done that. After all, in Candace's eyes, Lucas was not the perfect, intelligent, heroine people thought of him to be. Fair enough, because Lucas and everyone else would have never said those three words about her.

One thing led to another, leading Candace and Lucas to be stuck together in a community service that will make them question one another; "Who exactly are you?"
