Alright when do things go so far that is nearly impossible to fix? When the thought of crying is nearly unbearable?

After the failure of the Red Banquet, the Eggpire went deep underground in their labyrinth and began experimenting with the blood vines.

Soon enough they hatched a plot that would easily affect the entire server with the Egg and deal with the traitors.

They just slightly miscalculated. Well many miscalculated how far the Egg could control Ponk. 

You see during this experimenting phase, the Eggpire captured Tommy and experimented on him by all accounts. But during this, Ponk was slowly breaking out of the Egg's control and growing immune to variations with Tommy.

Soon enough the pair escape but by then it was too late to stop the Eggpire. Everyone was in a deep slumber.

They were each streaming on the Dream SMP that day, everybody had just about logged off when the server suddenly shut down with the 6 still online. The two brothers wanted them to be found just so people would shut up about it, that was until scientists finally figured out what happened and how to get them out. each of the missing streamers were stuck in the world, their bodies now part of the game. The only way for them to get out was to either beat the game or find some sort of loop hole, their only problem? Dream had destroyed the end portals that were within 1000's of blocks a month before the disappearances and if they died? Game. Over. Scientists developed a new VR like device, they only made 3. With those 3 they needed volunteers but nobody seemed to want to risk it. Tommy decieded to do it for fun and drag Tubbo with him. Can Tommy and Tubbo and one other help Dream and everybody else escape the SMP? Or will somebody else on the inside stop them from beating the game and kill them. Tommy was upset as well, but not because Ranboo was dying, but because he would leave the world behind as well. What would become of his spider-son? What about his friends? A young blonde boy wakes up in the middle of the forest. He can't remember how he got there or much about himself either. His name is blank from his mind, and he can't even remember his family. His clothes are torn and dirty, and he wonders what happened. He's not hungry, but he wants a small snack, yet every apple tree and every berry bush he passes doesn't strike his fancy. He eventually makes it to a city. Large buildings are fallen over and the ones still standing have busted out windows and/or have smoke and fire coming from them. He can hear distant screams and yells and gunshots. There are people passing him that are strange. They're badly injured and walk slightly hunched over. Some are missing limbs, and some are missing and eye, or both. They don't even appear to be alive to the boy. They look his way but don't mind him. Tommy is confused and scared. He can slightly remember this place to be his once home, and it makes him upset that's it's gone to such shit, and scared by everyone's screams and the fires and the fighting, and mostly, the fact that some people are eating each other.
