One foggy autumn afternoon, Mikaelah and Cassidy get into an argument in the car home from the mall. Cassidy is always starting fights with her twin sister but none of them have ever ended on bad terms. Until this one. The sisters are too focused on their bickering to notice a car coming in the distance, until it's too late. One sister pays a permanent price, while the other must face the consequences. Which is worse?

an almost decade old story. * "one tragedy changed their lives." a story with dialogues and minimal description, in which a boy ends up in the hospital after a car accident and his friend slowly collapsing under the weight of his tortured mind. but what actually happened that one fateful night and what other secrets will be unraveled? * two main male pov's, recognizable through italics and normal text. a story written unlike any other. i hope you'll find comfort in it just as much as i have. be aware that this is a realistic story. * slow-burn start, but it picks up. don't let the number of chapters fool you; the average reading time for each is less than a minute . i came up with the story of the two friends when i was still quite young and i'm by no means a writer, so it deeply apologize if it sucks ass. feel free to vote and comment or point out any spelling mistakes or confusing paragraphs. it needs some editing and possibly some small changes or added chapters for clarity and better character development, but as for now, this first completed story will do. original story: around 2014. first upload: 2020. re-upload: 2023.Concluída

But it wasn't over soon. Yelling upon yelling. A few more glass bottles were broken before they both started to settle down. As usual, Dad left the house, ending the fight. When he was done with his drive, he came back here and sleeps until he had to go to work again. Ella and I rarely see him. He's hardly home, but when he is, it's constant fighting with Mom. Whenever we see Mom, she always tells us about how crazy our father is. She fell in love with him as a teenager, and when she got pregnant with me, she married the fool. The "Please..." I hear her whimper and I go into full panic mode. "Calm down, okay? Deep breaths. Don't hang up. I'll be with you soon. Where are you?" I rush as I grab the car key sitting on the glass table. I run into the garage with my dad behind me. "What do you need?" Dad asks "A room. A big one." He runs back inside as I hear her voice again. "Basement...blood...Elle..." I hear sounds of movement in the background and connect the dots. Elle's bleeding, or something... "Deep breaths baby, deep breaths. It's okay, you're okay" I murmur reassuring words to her, thankful that there's no traffic. Several thoughts run through my mind as I drove to her house. The last time we spoke, she could barely stand me, but now she's calling me. I feel kinda used, but now's not the time to think about that. I reach her house in a matter of minutes and shove the door open. The house is quiet, save for my heavy breathing and footsteps. I reach the basement and take in the sight in front of me.
