One foggy autumn afternoon, Mikaelah and Cassidy get into an argument in the car home from the mall. Cassidy is always starting fights with her twin sister but none of them have ever ended on bad terms. Until this one. The sisters are too focused on their bickering to notice a car coming in the distance, until it's too late. One sister pays a permanent price, while the other must face the consequences. Which is worse? I have been working on this for a while and am very proud of my work. Comments and feedback would be much appreciated, and don't forget to vote if you like it! This is my first story but I'm excited to be posting more soon.

*3rd Place Winner-The Writer's Award 2021* "I see bright flashing lights. Emergency lights. I'm on the pavement. It's raining. I hear voices of EMTs but I can't make out what they are saying. Panic fills my body when I can't see her. BETHANY! I keep yelling her name but I can't move and I can't see her. BETHANY!" Kami is a first year student at Art School in Chicago. She is rude, rebellious, and haunted by her past. Bethany was the only light in her life and since her, Kami can't seem to let anyone else in. That is until she meets Rebecca her college roommate with ugly dresses, fidgety fingers and a spunky personality that reminds her a little bit of Bethany. And then there is Adam the boy with golden eyes and golden hair. From the very first moment they shook hands her body ignited in a way it had never before. Kami felt alive for the first time in her life. But can Kami let go of what she's done? Will she ever be able to find friendship again? Will she ever allow someone to love her? Just as she begins to let her walls down and open up; someone she never thought would hurt her betrays her in a way that she may never recover from. 38 in please read 10/18/20 out of 1.44k 78 in cliffhanger in 1.52k **strong language **mature audience **sexual assault is implied but not discussed in detail First time writing a book all suggests, comments, inputs welcome!
