The thought of a cool, summer breeze stung the air as I breathed my last, shaky breath.
"M-Mel."
Mel was nowhere to be found. In fact, she didn't want to be found, not by me at least. She managed to find me. My head tilted back onto the cool bricks of the church. Bells rung in my ears, echoing one after another. I held a letter in my hand. Those words will never be delivered, what a shame. Why am I not mad at her? Can I not let her know that I'm not mad at her? I don't want her to carry this with her forever. Please, why is this world so cruel?
