He has made it his mission to have ties in all kingdoms but never to close that he can't wage a war against them if the need arises. With his father always in bed sick, who is there to stop him?

I pushed by blade up against his throat as I shoved him to the wall our bodies mere inches apart.
"Who's stopping me from killing you right here and now, your highness" I respond, venom dripping off my words.
I ignore my heart hammering in my chest and try to even out my breaths.
He smirks at me and I feel the brush of his finger tips along my exposed thigh causing my breath to hitch. His grey eyes bore into mine as they darken with some emotion I can't place.
A drop of blood trickles down his neck but he doesn't move his position against the wall.
"I'd say you are keeping yourself from killing me with the way you're reacting to my touch"
