Invisible Stars

Zemira is the feared yet respected assassin working for the Royal family of the country of Reniser. She never does anything except train and spend time with her only best friend Princess Athena. Zemira was only 13 years old when her fathers was killed by a rivaling kingdom but she swore to take revenge on them and do whatever it takes to see their empire fall.

Axel Khrysor is the crown prince of the kingdom of Dermiton. He has never taken an interest in settling down and only ever focuses on his duties. Axel is feared in the eyes of neighboring kingdoms and he thrives off of the respect he receives. He has made it his mission to have ties in all kingdoms but never to close that he can't wage a war against them if the need arises. With his father always in bed sick, who is there to stop him?

What will Zemira do when she finds out her father was murdered by the spies of Dermiton? What will Axel do when he encounters the feared assassin of Reniser?

I pushed by blade up against his throat as I shoved him to the wall our bodies mere inches apart.

"Who's stopping me from killing you right here and now, your highness" I respond, venom dripping off my words.

I ignore my heart hammering in my chest and try to even out my breaths.

He smirks at me and I feel the brush of his finger tips along my exposed thigh causing my breath to hitch. His grey eyes bore into mine as they darken with some emotion I can't place.

A drop of blood trickles down his neck but he doesn't move his position against the wall.

"I'd say you are keeping yourself from killing me with the way you're reacting to my touch"

Dammit.
