I, Elena Newman, am a female shifter. Even though it's very rare, I found that it runs throughout my family. Being a female shifter can be hard. Females who are able to shift into werewolves are said to be as strong as an Alpha. Over the centuries, after all of the humans had died out, packs had started to hunt down female shifters. They had thought that it was unfair for someone to be as powerful as an Alpha. For this reason, I kept it a secret from everyone except my little brother, Henry.
You could say I'm a bit heartless as well, but I have good reasoning behind it. I've watched my family and many others die. So, I returned the favor. I always have. I have no regrets.
Now, I rule as the Alpha Female of my pack, The Midnight Shadow Pack. I have also yet to find my mate, but honestly, I'm fine with that. To me, mates are just plain stupid. The only thing that their good for is power.
My pack is very well known, thanks to my wolf, Isabelle, and I. We are feared by almost every pack in existence including the rogues. No one dares to mess with us because they believe that we have a secret weapon which, ironically, is me.
