" Jord-"

" Shhh ... Let me . Pls little one. I.. I was so scared today ." He whispered in her neck . He pulled back and cupped her face in his hands .

"I... Am here to see you.", I told him as I placed my hands around his neck. I could feel my heart beat getting faster but I had to keep it strong if I had to survive this scenario. "What?", Brandon asked completely startled. I leaned in more closer to him. The only good thing in this entire scene was that he wasn't pushing me back due to my creepy behaviour. "Oh... Bran, I was missing you so much, I just... I needed to see you.", I said as I came up with lie. "Are you drunk?", Brandon asked as he leaned in closer trying to smell my mouth. Thank God Fel had given me her mint gum only moments before I went commando and came inside the locker room. "What?", I scoffed still standing extremely close to Brandon. "I just.... I was missing your gorgeous face.", I told another lie. But wait? His face is gorgeous so that isn't a lie. And was I not missing seeing him? I noticed Brandon who just had his eyes popped out of his socket with bewilderment at my words. I decided to peck him on the cheek before I storm out of the locker room. I leaned ahead to peck Brandon who moved his face in my direction and instead of his cheeks, our lips crashed. Brushing against each other, our lips touched. I could feel fireworks exploding inside my entire body. With my neurological system not responding anymore. ******* Depicting the hostility and vulnerability of a young woman to a society the story centers around a normal sophomore, Amy Cole, who had a normal life. Well way too normal for her situation. Amy's life was all good until one day, when her friends dumped her and blamed her for something she never even did. Her life takes a complete turn as her childhood crush, Brandon Mayhew, the Mayor's son, who once broke her heart, rushes back into her life through a series of events. With new friends, shifting thoughts, confused feelings and fighting anxiety and standing for the right thing. Amy makes her way to the top. Only to get at the top of everyone's hate list.

"Listen Kenzy, I know I've been an ass and truthfully maybe you shouldn't even bother returning my calls. You're right, I've been nothing but awful since we met, driving you away yet desperate to keep you close" My heart clinches, but I dared not breathe. Too afraid to give in, too afraid that if I reach for the phone, I'll call. I'll call to make it right. I want to make it right, because this man affects me more than I ever thought he would. But it isn't right. I can't give myself false hope. "Please just talk to me, let me explain. It's not you.....it's me. I'm the asshole. You don't deserve this, you didn't. ..." He pauses and I hold my breath still, fearing he'd hear me breathe, yet, it's only his left voicemail on the phone. Not him "I'm sorry.......dammit!" And that's it, our one sided conversation ends and I'm more broken than before. What happens when your world crashes? When the people you thought would be there forever literally runs through the door without a second glance backwards? What happens with taking a step outside your comfort zone? What happens when that step outside that comfort zone turns into....well unexpected? Personalities clash, feelings are crushed and just maybe that one person you ignore turns out to be the damn life savers. Easy enough, but did I forget to mention they belong to someone else? Will what happens in summer stay with summer? The beautiful cover was done by @LittleRedConverse23, go check out her great work ❤❤❤ #thebuttercupawards2020 #RoseAwards

A reflection. Do you like yours, love yours or hate yours? There's many people in this world who dislike theirs, not because of the physicality that they see in a mirror, but because they know what's lurking behind the eyes that stare. So much can be seen in yourself from your own pair of eyes, things that others don't seem to see. Do you know why that is? That's because no one knows you better than you know yourself. A pair of eyes could seem so kind, warm and innocent to the world, but only yourself could know the true darkness behind them. There's one person in this world who knows exactly what I'm talking about. He knows the infuriating, angering feeling of the painful suffering he experiences when his own eyes meet his reflection's. Deadly, severe, menacing: is what he sees. Everyone who looks into them simply see a bright pair of ocean eyes. Blue. That's all they see. But only himself knows he's drowning in the tidal waves of their deep ocean. And no one cares enough to notice, to help, or to save. Until her. She used to think fire was more murderous than ice. Little did she know, that would all change at first glance. She saw the eyes, she noticed their blue, she stared for a second too long, and now she knows that there's no going back. He'll claim her. ~If I take a step away from him, he takes a step closer to me. If I run, he'll find his way back.~ ~I'm trying my goddamned hardest to not act on the ache I'm feeling to place my lips on hers, just to have a little taste, because I don't want to appear as some sex-driven teenage boy who just wants to claim her body. Because I don't. I want to claim her heart.~ *Mature content: Strong language, aggressive behaviour, sexual content etc.* Note: Don't skip past the prologue. A bit of the dialogue or description in the first half of the book may seem slightly immature; I'll have to edit that when I get the chance. Started: 31/08/18 Completed: 02/04/19

Trying to act like papa. But guess what, Dylan, you never cared about me or what I did!" She screamed, taking steps back towards the stairs. I was just thinking. I swear. But maybe my mind over thought. It's weird that everything can seem so simple, straight forward. Black and white. Two colors. So obvious. So there. Him and Her. Two people. So obvious. So there. But once you add gray, things get kind of complicated. Then you add color. And it's a wonderfully complicated bright world. She's two in one. The storm and the shade. No one ever stops to thank the storm for shading them from what's above it. What if the sun was too strong, too powerful that day and the storm came along just to protect us all from it? It was this epic battle between the two and the storm was hurting and it cased all this damage to the earth. No one thanks the storm for its sacrifice when it finally loses the battle and the sun shows its smug face. We all hate the storm for the disaster it created and praise the sun, when the storm just wanted to protect us. The storm and the shade. She's the storm and the shade. She's the chaos and the calm. Only I can't see the chaos. Not fully. She's keeping it all inside. All I see is the calm. I can tell though. I can tell there's chaos. I just can't see it. It's not so black and white. It's not a simple boy likes girl. Girl likes boy. It never was. But I like her. I do. The storm and the shade.
