"I mean.." he whispered, a stark contrast to the loud anger that was just in the room, as he thought about his next words carefully. "Maybe someone in this house didn't like the idea of you leaving with another guy, because... because they wanted you to leave with them."
She felt her body grow hot as she looked at him.
"Brad.." She said quietly as he just stared at her, his eyes vulnerable but his body standing tense in front of her. "Are...what are you saying?"
"I.." He breathed in deeply, then he just thought, fuck it. This was his shot. Standing alone in a room together, just admitting that he wanted to be with her, if she was going to reject him, might as well be now. Might as well be in style.
