Petrichor (/ˈpɛtrɪkɔːr/) is the earthy scent produced when rain falls on dry soil. The word is constructed from Greek petra (πέτρα), "rock", or petros (πέτρος), "stone", and īchōr (ἰχώρ), the fluid that flows in the veins of the gods in Greek mythology.

A rainy day comes along with several different feelings for me, sometimes it seems like nature's tantrums, yet sometimes sympathy towards all the souls, it's a mysterious feeling that combines empathy, sorrow , anger, love . As if rain knows how to cleanse and purify our soul driving away all our confusions and filth from mindset. As I'm so fond of rain I named my work petrichor. Hope you would enjoy my poems ! Happy reading !
