"I felt so caged again, as if I had wings but I wasn't allowed to fly, a voice but I wasn't allowed to speak. It was a scary feeling at first, but later you just get used to it, but you just want freedom and the feeling of safety. Why did I have to be caged in this dump? I thought about the Phoenix again. Did the Phoenix hate me? What had I ever done to this Phoenix? I balled my fists up in anger as I stared outside the window still, watching a great brown eagle fly outside."

("The Normality" is part 1 of "Destiny of Fire", the first book of the "War of the Phoenix" series)

For quite a long time, a legendary bird called the "Phoenix" tried to possess a woman and her children to come in hopes of taking over the world. When it gets ready to try and possess its next victim, Alisha Quill, a group called the Storm-seekers and another group called the Spreaders are hard at work to stop the Phoenix in any way possible, including asking for the help of the most powerful man in the world; Almaroz. Meanwhile, nine heroes rise from the most unlikely places and even though they don't know it, their paths are set to cross and their destiny falls under the feet of the storm-seekers and the Phoenix itself.

She recruits the help of a forest sprite and a colony of rodents living within the walls of the enemy's palace to devise an elaborate prison break. Meanwhile, Jorge's conscience, along with his fellow warriors who had escaped with him, urge him to use his shape-shifting abilities to repay Gerardo's efforts. Will Jorge be able to set aside his personal disgust and become the competent warrior required to rescue Gerardo? Will Jorge's and Rein's combined efforts be enough? And will Jorge's experiences mold him into the proficient warrior capable of bringing peace back to the United Empires? "Follow" is only the beginning. "Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?

"She was an angel craving chaos. He was a demon seeking peace." No truer lyrics have ever been sung... ********* White. White walls. White floors and ceilings. Pristine, crisp suits and long, pin straight hair. Everywhere Fayre looked, it was like a constant reminder of what her life was. This had been her reality for her entire life and it was slowly seeping into her bones and lulling her to sleep. She was bored. She wanted excitement. She didn't want what everyone was expecting her to have. She wanted colours. She wanted a life-changing explosion of yellows and greens and blacks and reds. Where Fayre craved more out of the life she lives, Adrian wants nothing more than to tone it down. His world was crazy and hectic, noise around every corner and driving him slowly insane. What happens when you throw the two together alongside a deadly mission to retrieve a sacred artefact lost for centuries and a risk of never returning home? One Angel craving more out of life and one Demon sought to dull the overload in his. Will they balance each other out or become a chaotically beautiful disaster? • • • My story is still unedited so please be kind and ignore any spelling or grammatical errors for now x There are so many plot holes and bits that might not match up, but I promise I will go back and end it once I finish my story
